Training
Where do we train?
We train at Aston Village Cricket Green, Aston Lane, SG2 7DX, Aston (near Stevenage) every Saturday starting at 10:00. However as the summer approaches we also train on Thursday evenings starting at 19:00. This is due to there being many competitions which occupy the weekends. Please note that we train outdoors all year round, so remember to wrap up warm in those winter months.
Our training
We split our training into groups depending on the dogs ability. We have beginner groups for new dogs, starter groups for intimidate dogs and open groups for competition dogs. High Flyers advocate responsible dog ownership and expect all handlers to bring poo bags and clear up after their dogs.
First time
If you are interested in coming down to a session, please contact us in advance. When you come down to a training session you should bring:
- Water and bowl
- Motivation toy/treats
- Comfortable shoes/trainers
- Flat collar & Lead - No check chains please
Competing
If you are interested in competing in open tournaments with your dog, you must be a BFA member. The British Flyball Association (BFA) is the governing body of international Flyball Racing within the UK. To become a BFA member please go onto the BFA site www.flyball.org.uk and download the membership form.
